Peute Plastics & Polymers is the specialist for processing your plastic streams. In 2023 we have processed 140,000 metric tons of plastics at our site, a volume to be proud of! We have been able to achieve this through a high-quality organization, extensive knowledge of plastic qualities, with a state-of-the-art production site and employees who are highly involved with the organization.
With its complete focus on high-quality Peute Plastics & Polymers has built up a large European network of customers in recent years, enabling delivery within Europe for a large proportion of plastics. In 2015 the first sorting line for LDPE films was installed in Dordrecht, but in the meantime at our new site in Alblasserdam we operate 12 sorting lines that allow us to sort between 60,000 and 70,000 metric tons of LDPE films annually. This brings us the confidence of our large international network of suppliers and customers, and enables us to keep expanding this network. In recent years we have therefore opened offices in Germany, Spain and Portugal and have become part of the packaging company SCG Packaging.
Peute Plastics & Polymers specializes in LDPE streams, from LDPE 98/2 to LDPE 50/50, for further processing and upgrading at our Alblasserdam site. But we are also the right place for qualities such as Big bags, PET bottles, HDPE/PP/PS mono streams and other production wastes. Thanks to our large network for all these different qualities, we can always ensure that your plastic is used again as a high-quality raw material. All this takes place at our new site in Alblasserdam, where we have set the new standard for the industry. By clearly separating the various phases in the production process but connecting them in line with each other, a minimum number of operations is required to process large volumes. Materials are processed on our 12 sorting lines, which can sort between 60,000 and 70,000 metric tons of film on an annual basis. Immediately behind these sorting lines there are 3 balers that press the sorted material into compact bales, after which they can be stocked and are ready for loading at the loading docks. With all electric machinery, a roof full of solar panels and a location right next to the Alblasserdam / Rotterdam East terminal, we can also guarantee that your materials will be processed in the most sustainable way possible.
A key issue in recycling is the traceability of the raw materials that Peute Paper Solutions receives and processes. Where do the materials go and are they processed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner? Peute Plastics & Polymers has therefore already years ago committed to sorting plastics at its site, making as many materials as possible suitable for processing in Europe (as quality requirements for processing in Europe are high). We remove all foreign materials present and dispose of them via professional parties in the Netherlands, preventing these materials from ending up in nature or the ocean. Herewith we guarantee that the materials leaving the Alblasserdam site are of the highest possible quality and will therefore have minimal environmental impact.
In addition to our strategy of sorting at our site, we only work with high-quality and fully licensed recyclers and therefore can guarantee 100% traceability on all products. All required documents and information regarding responsible processing are handed over to our partners to ensure transparency, demonstrate the quality of our company and guarantee that the quality of our industry is kept high. In addition, Peute Paper Solutions works closely with packaging organizations Valipac (responsible for Belgian packaging materials) and Verpact (responsible for Dutch packaging materials) in the area of traceability. From the source where the packaging is released to the final processor of the packaging, our collaboration makes the whole routing transparent. But it doesn’t stop here! To ensure that in addition to correct documentation the processor also conducts its business operations correctly, on-site audits are carried out by the independent and professional auditing company SGS International. Next to that all the information from this cooperation is shared with government bodies IL&T and OVAM, who are responsible for cross-border transports of paper, thus ensuring full transparency and guaranteeing high-quality recycling.
